I think we, as Christians, often make it a habit to intentionally defer our hope. We often defer our own hope by assuming all God’s blessings & promises will happen “someday in heaven”.
And “hope deferred makes the heart sick.” (Proverbs 13:12)
God loves to be glorified… by restoring you. Here. Now.
His instructions to his disciples included “here and now” ministries of healing the sick, delivering the demon-oppressed, and raising the dead. The kingdom has arrived…
There is hope here, now. “I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 116:9.
“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do great things among you…”
Here are the passages I list at the end of the video, to read before we chat next time (not necessary to follow along, but some great stuff!):
- Job 38
- Psalm 33
- Psalm 111
- Psalm 136
- Psalm 147
